0.7 l, 42% alc. Golden yellow coluor with pleasant smell distinctive for apricot brandy. Completed and full taste with expression of the oak Distilled from unpolluted ripe apricot. During the distilling it has to keep its fruit aroma and tinge. No artificial colour added. Aging in special casks- barrique, which innerside was burnt, so it inherits a special aroma from its barrel. Very, very good. Although I dislike barique wines and brandies, this case shows that fruity taste can be enriched and preserved with good barrique. Nice aroma and barrique elegance. Therefore, it is a suitable basis for a brandy when distiller wants to emphasize other ingredients. This herbal brandy was made originaly as grape or apple brandy and aged with various herbs. The herbs and oak barrel make it dark tawny, dense and smell of herbs. A bit sweet and a bit "herbal". Sometimes you feel like drinking mild brandy, sometimes you feel mown meadow in your nose. Carefully selected ripe fruits of quince are smashed and left to ferment for a couple of weeks. The fermented fruit is distilled in traditional way. To preserve the fruity aroma of brandy during distillation, it is the real art.
I always get excited when tasting the quince brandy. This one has preserved the fruity aroma and overwhelming fragrance, complete sensation caresses your palate. But it can cheat, you have to be very careful.
We prefer to call it The Duchess Brandy. Its distinguished odor and aroma reveal the noble nascency. Colourless and clear, calm at first sight, it erupts the volcano, excites the imagination and makes us all heroes and poets.
