When you decide to start from the zero, there is only one thing that can provide enough of support for whatever goal you wish to achieve. That thing – is the family. During the nineties of the previous century, one family joined forces with their friends, planning how to claim the leading role in the lives of the consumers. Nobody expected that within such short time the company could accomplish so much. Today, it is the only company in the region, which controls the entire circle of production: from the orchards, to the processing, cooperative relations with the workers, to the final product. Nectar started its story in 1998, in Backa Palanka, with the first series of fruit juices. In 2003, Nectar buys the greatest factory for the production of the fruit concentrates and the fruit pulp in Vladicin Han. That way they added many new products to their assortment. And, in 2013, Nectar is recognized as the Superbrand in Serbia. This title is absolutely deserved, because besides their great success, and the high quality of the products, Nectar is also focused on a sharing goodness all around.
There are not so many companies who joined the charity work in such scale as Nectar did. At this very moment, Nectar is helping in the reconstruction of the maternity hospital “Narodni Front.” Did you know? The motto of the company says: “It does matter.” What is that supposed to mean? It means that it does matter if the quality of the product is high or low, if the fruit used for the processing was healthy or not, in general, it matters if the product they are selling to others is the one they would give to their children. That’s why their products need to satisfy high standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000. The aim of the company is to establish long-term relationship with their customers and distributors. Such strong bond would guarantee the safety of the business, which would result in additional growth, and higher quality. The company favors the idea of a safety business for one more specific reason: as long as the business is safe, the workers are safe and as such, happy, motivated and productive. Even though the main focus of the company was on the fruit juices, jams, ice teas and similar, recently they started the production of alcoholic beverages. The released series has a name “Riznica” (meaning “Treasury”), and it has seven drinks in its assortment.
