Walnut Liqueur Monastery Kovilj is mild and a bit sweet liqueur aged with unripe, green walnuts. Known for its exceptional curative features.

The brandy of variuous fruit is distilled and poured into barique barrels. Unripe green walnuts are added to the brandy in order to age with it and to calm it down.
|Too sweet for me, but I like the odor of unripe walnut. It somehow reminds me of the just mown meadow.

Kovilj Monastery is situated in northern Serbian province Vojvodina, nearby Novi Sad. It was founded by Saint Sava in the early 13th century. Saint Sava was a prince and the first archbishop of Serbian Orthodox Church. The Monastery was built on the spot where Saint Sava healed the son of the Hungarian King Andrew II. Monastery has a large brotherhood, school of iconography and produces reputable cheese, wine and brandy.
