      Dark amber apple brandy   0.7 l, 40% alc.  Apple brandy distilled from cider by traditional Calvados receipe and aged for 3 years in oak in 13- century Orthodox Monastery of Kovilj. The Kovilj monks make the brandy according to traditional French receipe for Calvados: the fruit is harvested (either by hand or mechanically) and pressed into a juice that is fermented into a dry cider. It is then distilled into eau de vie. It ages in oak casks in a Monastery cellar for at least 3 years.     Excellent!       Hand- crafted in Serbian Orthodox monastery Hopovo in traditional way. 0.7 l, 35% alc. Pure and organic grape brandy with more than 10 medicinal herbs added and matured with the brandy.  The best grape from Fruska gora is selected, smashed and left to ferment. Natural processes happen with ripe fruit during fermentation with no artificials added. Crafted in traditional way, the distilled brandy of high alcoholic volume is distilled again, gaining alc. 52% v/v (the strongest brandy). Double- distilled brandy is poured into oak barrels and several medical herbs are added to mature in the brandy. There are 3 g/l of gentian (Gentiana Cruciata).     A bit stronger for my taste, makes your body shake every time you have a drop of it. Suppose it’s a healing effect. Yes, you should have a glass of it if you have digestive problems, insomnia, etc. When you look at it and smell it, it reminds you of the monks making it.   The best grape from Fruska gora is selected, smashed and left to ferment. Natural processes happen with ripe fruit during fermentation with no artificials added.
