It is smashed pitted and fermentation is fully controlled. The first distillate has alchol strength of 60-70%. Montenegrin Grape Brandy

        0.75 l, 50% alc, distilled of grapes 2009 vintage An autochthonous Montenegrin product, one of the best of natural brandies. Montenegrin Grape Brandy is distilled from the finest grape varieties Kratosija and Vranac grown in the southern parts of Montenegro by professors of the Faculty of Biotechnology. Distilled in limited series 6.000 - 8.000 bottles a year.       Even if you drank it with your eyes shut and not being informed on what you drink previously, you would guess that the grapes were grown on a very lean, fasted, but sunny terrain. It is a real art to make such grape brandy of strong, pungent, but rich and beautiful grape. Real Montenegro!    Faculty of Biotechnology Podgorica, Montenegro distills brandy and wine on its own experimental estate on the south of Montenegro.
