Each of them is aged for a minimum of 2 years in toasted American oak barrels, but the final decision on bottling whiskey is made by Master Destiller, who approves it only when the whiskey meets all the recognizable criteria of Jack Daniel's. I think that here we’ve got a deeper, richer version of the whiskey. The best serving is with ice which reduces here the alcohol content. The brandy is redistilled, keeping its apricot aroma. It ages in stainless steel coppers to keep its authentic fragrance and aroma of fresh apricots. Now this is apricot brandy. Acceptable, but not extraordinary. You feel the full aroma of its apricot fruit in your mouth when you have this brandy. Intensive fragrance of ruit, well ballanced, fresh and full taste. Leskovacka Quince is a variety of large amount of fructose and very strong fragrance. 10 kilos of ripe quince is needed for 1 liter of quince brandy. After being fermented for a month, quince is distilled in controlled process of distillation, measuring a range of indexes. While double-distilled a distinct taste and fragrance of quince must be preserved. A very modern methods of distillation and aging are applied in order to improve the taste and quality to the best. Even with my eyes shut, I would have recognized it was quince brandy. It is so typical and warm. This one is well balanced and you feel the quince aroma on your palate long after you swallow your sip. Its taste is a bit sharp and not aggressive, but warning: „I am a pure fruit brandy“. Excellent Slivovitz of dark amber colour aged for 10 years crafted of 10 different plum species. 10 + 10: it was crafted of 10 different plum species, preserving the autochtonous and old local species of Serbia. And it was aged for 10 years in Serbian oak barrels. By bledning different plum species, they gain stable qualitiy each year. Different plum species bring different organoleptic characteristics. It was double distilled and yet its aroma is accustomed to the Western consumer’s taste. Amber yellow colour, gentle refined aroma with a fine oak finish, harmoniously full taste, pronounced jammy notes, pleasantly balanced taste. This one was unkonwn to me and it attracted me for a long period of time. I’ve tasted it several times before I made up my mind. And now I’m sure of my opinion on it: warm recommendation. 0,7 l, 43% alc. Plum brandy slivovitz, sharp with higher alcoholic content. Made of ripe plum from Central Serbia region. The plum is smashed and left to ferment for a couple of weeks. Distilled in traditional way. Redistilled in order to gain higher content of alcohol. One of the trickiest and sharpest slivovitz brandies I ever tasted. Very nasty if you are not used to the high content of alcohol. The Tomasevic Brothers continue the family tradition of hand-crafting fruit brandies of the supreme quality. The distillery is situated in Prijepolje, western Serbia and the area is abundant with the most aromatic fruit of the highest quality. 5 l, 40% alc. Yellow fruit brandy very well ballanced and potable, distilled of quince, aged for 3 years in barrels made of Serbian oak. Perun Quince Brandy is made of the famous and very aromatic variety Quince Of Leskovac (Leskovacka dunja). This one is grown in the Eastern Serbia on mild hills at ideal altitude. The quince is grown mature and full of it sweetness. After fermentation it is double distilled in completely automated and controlled process, that crafts brandy of constant quality. Aged in oak barrels for 3 years to become soft, velvety and drinkable. This brandy won a Grand Gold Medal, 75.International Agricultural Fair, Novi Sad 2008. Unlike its sister, colourless Quince Brandy Perun that aged in stainless steel pots, this one was aged in oak. And oak always calms down its tenant. When you taste both of these, you find out that the yellow brandy is calmer, balanced, pleasant even in the evening, and yet still has profound aroma of fruit it was made of. Placed in northern Serbian Vojvodina province, Perun Distillery gathers young and enthusiastic team of experienced craftmakers of fruit brandy. Distillation is controlled in automated system of digitalized pots that measure the numerous parameters of distilled brandy until the desired values. That way the brandy always has the same taste. Aging is performed in French oak barrels for at least three years; colourless brandy is aged in stainless steel pots. They keep track of every detail, so even heating of the distillery originates from the energy of distilling.
